Standing up for the cherry.
Representative of its member community, CGA seeks to lobby and influence varying levels of government and decision makers in the interests of the Australian cherry sector.
In this role CGA liaises, negotiates and meets with politicians, bureaucrats, organisations and individuals to seek affirmative action, voice opinions and influence key policy and decisions affecting the industry.
Issues tackled range from climate change, funding and industry regulation to export and trade complexities – the interests of the cherry growing community at the heart of our cause.
Key issues currently under the microscope include:
- Market access
- Capacity building for the industry
If you have an industry issue or concern you would like addressed please discuss with your State Association representative
