Join us for the 2026-27 Australian Cherry Season Launch Webinar as we bring the industry together to look at what is ahead for the new season.
Hosted by the Extension and Communication project, this annual webinar will cover the latest industry, export, biosecurity and climate updates, along with insights from our Emerging Cherry Leaders and opportunities to connect with the industry internationally.
What to expect
- Export outlook and market opportunities – CGA Trade Manager Chris Lethbridge will provide an update on the export outlook for 2026/27, upcoming market launches and key insights from Asia Fruit Logistica.
- Preparing for the season: biosecurity – CGA Biosecurity Manager Caleb Van Beynan will discuss the pests and diseases to watch as the season gets underway and provide an update on current industry biosecurity priorities.
- What our Emerging Cherry Leaders learned in New Zealand – Fresh from their recent New Zealand study tour, our Emerging Cherry Leaders will share what they saw, what stood out and the key learnings that could be applied in Australian cherry orchards.
- Climate outlook for 2026-27 – We will look ahead at the seasonal climate forecast and the conditions growers should be aware of heading into the growing and harvest period.
- Chile Study Tour 2027 – With dates now confirmed for 12–21 March 2027, we will also share the latest details on the Australian Cherry Industry Chile Study Tour and the opportunity to see one of the world’s largest cherry industries firsthand.
