2020 Cherry Export Workshop and National Conference

Due to coronavirus, closed borders and social distancing requirements, the national cherry conference will be postponed until 2021. The workshop/export registration information will be delivered in a format yet to be determined.


Sydney Markets Cherry Auction reaches $31,000 bid

An online fresh fruit delivery business paid $31,000 for the ceremonial first season tray of cherries at the Sydney Markets Cherry Auction last November. Bobby Tesoriero from HWY Fruits made the winning bid and was subsequently crowned the Cherry King after a hotly contested auction held on the floor of the Sydney Markets.

Agriculture Victoria energy investment grants and farm energy saving assessment

Free on-farm energy assessments for any farmer with an energy bill of over $8,000 pa (includes diesel).
After assessment, a report with recommendations and an energy plan ffor the future are provided. Some recommendations can be implemented without incurring any costs.
The second stage include grants (50% co-contribution) for items identified in the assessment that could include items like solar panels, pumps, coolrooms or curtain cooling.
